I supervised SEO content strategy and production for multiple divisions of Roku from 2022 to 2024 through Coalition Technologies. I directed the efforts of multiple Copy Strategists to conduct keyword research and produce optimized web content published on Roku.com. We promoted The Roku Channel as a streaming service, and originals produced by the Roku Corporation, including "Weird: The Al Yankovic Story" (2022). Later, we were asked to enhance and optimize content for Roku's Community & Support.

Netflix, HBO, Amazon Video, Disney+, etc. There are a ton of streaming services out there now. The Roku Channel offers many of the same TV shows and movies for free with Ads. They hired my team at Coalition Technologies to help get the word out with an SEO campaign. We targeted keywords for many of the most popular streaming options and made back-end fixes to the website so they could be properly indexed. We also used an off-site SEO strategy to put The Roku Channel on "where to watch" lists for many third-party sites. Our efforts have helped the platform grow 20% faster year over year.
The Roku Corporation makes all kinds of smart TVs, sound bars, streaming players, and more. Roku Community is a destination for tips and support on all kinds of devices. Roku asked us to help make their content more discoverable for the customers who need to see it. Roku saw 5% more users thanks to a short campaign. The average session duration also dropped by 4%, meaning more customers were finding answers more quickly.
While Roku Community is a destination for user-generated content, Roku Support is the place where customers can find help for technical issues directly from the company. Roku asked us to make their support more helpful and discoverable. They wanted fewer frustrated customers trying to find help somewhere else. Rokus support saw a 25% increase in users from October 2022 through April 2023 thanks to an SEO content campaign with back-end technical fixes.
